Executive VP & General Counsel
With more than 10 years of experience in the field of sustainable, responsible and impact (SRI) investing, it brings me great pleasure to now serve as Karner Blue Capital’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Within those roles I am responsible for overseeing the implementation of Karner Blue’s compassionate investment strategies and business initiatives.
Prior to my work at KBC I served as in-house counsel for Calvert Investments, Inc., as an attorney with the international law firm of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, and as a foreign exchange trader with both the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and a private provider of currency hedging solutions. I continue to serve as Calvert’s General Counsel on a part-time basis to assist with the winding-up of its business.
I am active in my community as a youth sports coach and an advocate for economically-disadvantaged public school students, especially those struggling with food insecurity. I am also a director of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Positive Coaching Alliance, which seeks to ensure that student-athletes have positive, character-building experiences in sports.
I earned my J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University. I now live in Bethesda, MD with my wife, Beth, our two children, and our beloved rescue Border Terrier named Vera.
